That was the suggestion I made in a previous mail.
You can work-arround this issue by using a temporary pixmap to draw
your gradient on, instead of using your gradient picture directly.
However even with this tweak a lot of time in my profiles is dedicated
to gradient generation and sysmem->vram copying (exaDoMoveIn).
