When you say "drm from git" do you mean the DRM modules?  If so, you shouldn't 
be using those.  If you want the latest DRM bits, run the drm-next branch of 
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/airlied/drm-2.6.git.  That 
includes a full kernel containing all the latest fixes.
