Intel driver and multiple grapphics cards

Please define "newer". Currently, I use 1.4.2. All I found are several
reports about that crash, and bug reports against the Intel driver.
There it was stated that Xinerama won't be supported anymore by the
Intel driver, only RandR.

However, RandR is somethat limited to ATI and Intel these days, and I
need it for trident.

And even if the crash should be fixed meanwhile, does that also mean
that Xinerama works again with the Intel driver? That would be so nice
that I can't really believe it. :-)
