Thanks for the pointer! I started rebuilding half my system because I
didn't get proper diagnostics, and the system got unusable.
May I humbly request we somehow get better handling of this? I mean,
even a GPF is handled more gracefully (I get textmode and a call stack).
Of course Pixman can't simply use X's error handling, but I can't
believe there's no better than having the proper diagnostic dumped on a
std/error out that's simply lost if you didn't take precaution.
I'd be glad to do a patch but I'm unsure what approach to take.
Thoughts, rants, ...?
