First try extracting the .exe file using unzip. If that does not work, use a
file viewer on the head to see if there is any text string about what OS will
or will not work. If DOS only, boot some kind of DOS disk, CD, stick or
floppy, then run the .exe.

Download an earlier MGA archive in the zip format. I doubt the 450 BIOS was
updated since Matrox started using EXE instead of ZIP BIOS archives.

The important thing to remember about BIOS updates is they usually require
only a plain jane DOS boot to work. Usually when they say floppy they don't
really mean it as a requirement, only that no DOS drivers get loaded during boot.
