multi monitor/multi card status

I spent a lot of time a few months ago trying to get 6 video outputs
from multiple Nvidia cards with the Composite extension also. The
closest I got was using Xgl, but I found a software bug there that
would screw up some of the drawing.
I ended up breaking down and buying two Matrox Triplehead2Go boxes and
using a single videocard to drive 6 displays instead.
I will be glad when eventually X.org has this functionality. It is a
long time coming.
