User reporting background draw problem on Radeon

LXTerminal is a simple VTE based terminal emulator.  VTE is doing the background draw that is reportedly faulty.

We have a user reporting problems with their background draw on a Mobility Radeon 7500 (r200) xf86-video-ati 6.12.192.  They report that disabling KMS and configuring with EXA restores correct operation.  Hopefully here the right people will see this.
