For the record, hosteurope.de is one of the longest running provider I
know in Europe, not exactly the cheapest, and you get a rented server
with hardware raid for EUR 59 per month.
Given my experience 1 EUR is approx. equal with 1 US$ in the computer
business (yes, it's not the exchange rate), but even if you take the
direct exchange rate this is easily managable  for $100 per month.

And I didn't exactly search for long.
Haven't looked for bandwidth flatrates yet, though. And of course, I
don't know the hardware setup we have. We probably have more RAM and
more disk space.

That said, I'm perfectly fine with the current situation. I just wanted
to know what we're paying this for.

What alternative strategy would that be? I'm always interested, but I
doubt anybody has the resources to look into anything groundshaking new.
Besides, we have a number of projects relying on freedesktop.org.
