These grabs are a PITA anyway, even when not using MPX. Once you've opened 
a menu or a drop-down list, you can't do anything else. Can't switch focus,
WM shortcuts not working, etc. You have to hit ESC or click somewhere to
get control back.

So the real solution would be to fix the toolkits to not grab.
