Xorg and Summagraphics Bitpad one

I have an older Summagraphics Bitpad One serial graphics pad, I have 
both the pen and 4 button puck,  and I would like to use it with Linux. 
I know there is  a Summa driver, but I cannot find out if it will work 
with this tablet. plus, what would I set the pad's internal switches to? 
Setting the serial port?  What type of data does the driver expect from 
the pad, absolute or relative?

Is there a resource  that explains  the Summa driver, what pads it works 
with and pad setup?
