Issues with 2nd display being treated as primary (when not plugged in)

Motherboard: can't find much information, unfortunately. Dmidecode gives a
lot of "to be filled by OEM" in all the relevant the board information :-S
It's American Megatrends (or is that just the BIOS?), according to the big
logo that shows up on boot.
