I've recently installed fedora 20 x64 on vmware workstation, just to
check, and it worked fine except for some rendering errors in the
screensaver that are not present in fedora 19. Haven't figured out yet
what was causing that problem.

I haven't tried to upgrade from 19 to 20, though. What happens if you
try a fedora 20 live cd?
