Hi,
I am trying to solve a problem caused by Xauthority entries without display
number. (https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1083869)
Part of the problem is that GDM is creating Xauthority file with entries that
do not have display numbers:
> xauth -f /run/user/1001/gdm/Xauthority list
> opensuse-tumbleweed/unix: MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 5eb134afd37bd3168a4266dd2ac2ca4e
> #ffff#6f70656e737573652d74756d626c6577656564#: MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 5eb134afd37bd3168a4266dd2ac2ca4e
It seems to work, but if I would try to create such file using the xauth
command, it would not let me. It is also impossible to add any new records with
display number, because they would get "merged" with those without number.
Are such entries valid?
Thank you,
Michal Srb
