With "manual start" i mean, starting without X (or with a more simple working setup).
The idea is to test for interference with other applications, if the problem vanishes
this could be an indicator for such a problem.

Hi Walter,
I don't think that this is a new issue. I think it got worse after replacing mouses and keyboards.
What do you mean by manual start? If I restart a PC or restarting Xorg resolves the issue. But it happens every day.

Hi,
some minor questions:
1. Is this a new issue ? (e.g. after a recent update ?)
2. Does this happen also with a manual start ?

Betreff: Xorg core dump Device or resource busy
Hi All,
I'm running Ubuntu 20.04 and periodically Xorg failing with core dump right after boot. I'm using a multiseat setup with 2 wireless keyboards and 2 wireless mouses connected. It looks like frequent mouse polling caused Xorg to slow down. But I have updated the polling interval like this:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash usbhid.mousepoll=4"
update-grub
But still, Xorg is failing with core dump and sometimes freezing.
