Hello to the list.

I am trying to use a new old stock G550 PCIe card with an IBM P92 19" monitor for photo retouching.
Here is my env:
Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
Xorg 7.7
xserver-xorg-video-mga 2.0.0
Linux kernel 5.4.0-59-lowlatency

I know that acceleration is broken in 2.0.0 for G550 as reported in:

What about gamma?
I have the following error message
xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output default
and I cannot set the gamma levels.
This limitation is undocumented in mga man page and repo.

I am evaluating to replace the G550 with a G450 since the latter supports acceleration, but I'd like to check whether the gamma works on it.

Thanks for reading
