I resolved the issue by downgrading the archlinux xf86-video-vmware
and mesa packages.
xf86-video-vmware-13.4.0-4-x86_64 -> xf86-video-vmware-13.4.0-3-x86_64
mesa-1:25.1.1-1-x86_64 -> mesa-1:25.0.5-1-x86_64
