The X11 sample server, from which this code base derives, was
originally designed by Phil Karlton and Susan Angebrandt of Digital,
and Bob Scheifler (MIT). The original ddx and mi implementation was by
Raymond Drewry and Todd Newman.

Major reimplementation has occurred over the years, by Bob Scheifler
of MIT and the X Consortium, Keith Packard (of MIT, NCD, SuSE, HP) and
many others. fb has replaced the old cfb code, and was written by
Keith Packard.

DDX drivers have been written by many companies and people over
the years, too numerous to name here. As of this writing, however,
the tree only contains the kdrive driver written by Keith Packard, and
the Cygwin/X project's driver. As other ddx frameworks are added,
this author's list will need extensive additions.

The GLX implementation was provided by SGI.

XXX this needs work, particularly for DRI/mesa etc.XXX

Eric Anholt has been reworking the DRI driver for this X server implementation.
