Bug ID: 211651 Summary: Dual screen not working with Nvidia GTX 1050ti in a notebook Product: Drivers Version: 2.5 Kernel Version: 5.8.0.43 Hardware: Intel OS: Linux Tree: Mainline Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P1 Component: Video(DRI - non Intel) Assignee: drivers_video-dri@kernel-bugs.osdl.org Reporter: kernel@fily.com.de Regression: No
Hello, I can't connect my second monitor with kernel 5.8.0.43 and driver nvidia-driver-450 and nvidia-driver-460.
With 5.3.18-050318-generic this is possible. So, I think the problem is the kernel. Maybe I can do a Kernel bisect, but I don't know how to perform it...
Can you help me?

--- Comment #3 from Artem S. Tashkinov (aros@gmx.com) --- NVIDIA drivers are outside of control of Linux kernel developers, so you're very unlikely to get any help here.

--- Comment #4 from fily1212 (kernel@fily.com.de) --- Thank you for your reply. Are we sure that this is outside of control of the kernel, since it works with Kernel 5.3 and not with 5.8 and later, same drivers?
Best, Filippo
