Who decides?
I've made my opinions known and I really just want a logo that will meet
the various functional requirements, so I do not particularly mind if I
get to vote so long as we get something that works.
A recent mozilla releated (i think) artwork competition allowed those who
submitted the artwork to decide which was best. I think it would be a
very good idea if the artists who contributed were somehow involved in the
decision.
I would of course recommend a simple version of the Proportional
Representation (PR) Voting system be used if there is a vote. It is a
little bit more complicated than first past the post but I'm sure someone
could script a simple version.
To quote Winston Churchill:
"Democracy is the worst form of government except for all those others
that have been tried"
and my corollary is that Proportional Representation is the least worst
kind of democratic system available.
