[Clipart] OT: greeting card, brochure creating software?

I have used scribus a lot over the past couple years. (I also maintain
packages for it for pkgsrc.)
It is very slow.
For a long time, it had bugs when printing in landscape mode.
It doesn't include any templates for quickly doing greeting cards.
My wife could make a quick greeting card in a few minutes or a flier in 30
minutes or less using her old software. While I could do the same in
scribus and take a couple hours. (Although I have journalism school
education in using layout software and have professional experience using
layout software.)

Thanks for feedback.
That would be great if we could have a good collection of templates, maybe
maintained and hosted by OpenClipart.org.
