[Clipart] files damaged at upload - again

Remind me never to say I'm going to commit "tomorrow probably", then
rip the script in question apart for a major edit, then get
sidetracked for over a week doing something else.

The good news is, when I get back to this, I'm not very far off from
having a useful new feature in the upload script, in _addition_ to the
above-discussed workaround.  The bad news is, I probably won't get the
chance to do enough testing to be satisfied and commit until this
weekend.  Hopefully I won't get sidetracked again...
