the process is like this: submited clipart is placed in an 'incoming'
folder and at the end of each month we do a release - run some
validation and then package the images in various formats and update the
browsable repository. Expect your images to be included in release
0.17, at the beginning of September.
There is work behind the scene to improve how the library works by
implementing a Document Management System (DMS), but it will take a while.

Practically there is no work to create thumbnails, those are generated
by a script which is part of the release process.
