Are iconic buttons (such as the ones I suggested in my own mockup) not "visual"?
I think they definitely are. I don't think text links are enough really. You've
not said anything against the idea of those buttons, but also not supported them
either -- so do you like or dislike them and why?

This was discussed in bug 3599, as I said in my previous comment, and it was
decided that we should display ONE affiliate per page randomly to give them all
a chance for the limelight without crowding our site with links to others. So
then the question I where. In bug 3599, I suggested the sidebar, but rejon said
it was crowded and that the top bar might be a better idea. I put it in the top
bar in my own mockup, and nobody has voiced an opinion about that positioning --
what do you think?

Well you could always have done it according to the current site design as I
did... And to be honest, I don't think anyone would have said that. But anyway,
the important part is the information.
