By _shown_, do you mean that it's not present embedded in the SVG,
or do you mean something else? Also, do you have an example of a
specific image that doesn't have its metadata shown?

This is not entirely surprising. Also at some point we had talked about
sorting the shield/crest/coat-of-arms type images separately from the
flags proper, but I am not sure that has been done yet, either.

Okay. If you can have the list ready before the end of the month,
we can do the moving for the 0.12 release.

Are they just duplicated into other places, or are they missing from
the flags hierarchy and need to be moved there?

I think so far we have not developed an actual policy on this, although
we are aware of the issue. Something I would like to see eventually is
a sort of web-based rating system, that would allow us to collect
feedback on image quality from various users, where each user only
gets one vote per image, I would think, so we'd need a user
registration system in place...
And then the collection could be filtered based on this feedback,
so that a "core" collection of just the "best" (highest-voted) images
could be produced, but also other
