The Governor and Adjutant General of Oklahoma have authorized the
raising and activation of a State Guard in the aftermath of several
natural disasters this year.

My question is: do we have to go through the Office of Heraldry to
establish an approved unit guidon for our organization, a shoulder
patch and recognition awards (ribbons)?

If so, how do we go about that?
