[Clipart] Does openclipart.org have invalid SVG content?

What I've been doing to all images that I have submitted to the CChost site is drawing the images in my preffered application.
Since this cannot save as SVG, I export EPS and then import into Adobe Ill for conversion to SVG. Then I open in inkscape to save as plain SVG. Then I manually add the metadata, or use my own little windows script for doing it.
I wonder if someone could script a batch process for inscape to take SVG files and process them into plain SVG.

I'd like to add to add a note to the guidelines about saving for "best
compatibility", which really means telling Inkscape users to save as
"Plain SVG". Unfortunately the best compatibility option in Adobe
Illustrator rasterizes a lot of things and embeds them as images but
there are better intermediate options and the advice does generally apply.
