Also, I think that it would be great to go through all the cliparts and
check them for quality (remove the Illustrator tags to decrease the size
of the files, clean the cliparts by optimizing the curves or delete the
cliparts containing bitmaps for example) and only then move them to
CCHSOT.
I understand that it is a trikcy task, but it will increase the overall
quality of Openclipart. I you will need help with that, I am willing to
do it during my free time (mainly during weekends), but I'll need some
kind of admin rights to have access to the cliparts.

I intend to help keep this type of stuff up to date on any clips I have
submitted. I know I have improved in ability to know about adobe tags,
and have improved some of my submissions, but on the old site the only
option was to send a new file and hope the release process replaced the
old one. Since this did not work very well, duplicates exist for some of
mine.
Once I have the ability to edit and upkeep my own submissions, I intend
to do just that.
I only write this to bring up the point that there may be other
submitters as well as myself who have plans to keep up their own files.
This might make the numbers of files for admins somewhat less.
I'd start re-uploading now to cchost, but I'm afraid that when the
content is migrated, I will just have created myself a bunch more
duplicates to deal with.
If the move is going to be manual like this, it may be easier for some
contributers like myself to just start uploading from source files on my
computer.

Hello,
I think that creating an anonymous account and dropping in all the
clipart is a good idea since there is no garantee that people that
submitted the old cliparts will ever create an account in CCHOST and
will therefore want their cliparts to be listed under their account. If
this happens, the user can write a mail to the list and tell what pieces
of clipart he wants to place under his new account. It's then up to
admins to move the clipart under the selected account.
Personally I have several cliparts in the old repository submitted under
different names (mo, molumen, lumen design studio and maybe a couple of
others) so I can do it in 2 different ways: 1) resubmit them, or 2)
request them to be moved under my account in CCHOST (molumen).
Thanks!
Molumen
