Thanks for the update. I've been swamped myself this week (even this 
weekend) with stuff for my day job.

Currently I have the thumbnail generating method as part of a class 
called RenderSVG which inherits from the RenderImage class per Jon's 
suggestion. I haven't had a chance to pull the new 4.5 code, so haven't 
looked at your place holder module yet.

I guess it's good I haven't had to much time lately to work on this. I 
have spent a little time reading through the code to learn how things 
work, but haven't gotten that far.

I'll aim for putting what I have in the test.openclipart.org directory 
on the server by sometime tomorrow.
