I think adding metatags in other languages would be great, and have
already started to do so for Japanese (via WordNet).
I would like to suggest adding a language tag to the keword metatag, either
explicitly within the tag:
<dc:subject>
<rdf:Bag>
<rdf:li lang='en'>mammal</rdf:li>
<rdf:li>feline</rdf:li>
</rdf:Bag>
or implicitly in the text:
<rdf:li>en:mammal</rdf:li>
then we could include different language tags within the actual images.
I could supply Spanish, Catalan and Japanese for around a thousand
images from the old download (v0.18) if anyone is interested. I would
be happy to do so for the current images if only someone would produce
a download collection that included the metatags. The translations
are automatically disambiguated using the metatags, so I can't do it
without them...
Yours,
