Or just hack up the galleries example. Gtk is available on both OSX and
Windows.

DBus I'm not so sure of, but I know it's hardly got any deps as it was
designed by the freedesktop.org people.

Either way, if you want something useful that integrates for Linux. I'm
personally not a cross-platform developer, I see only gnu and bsd as
viable development platforms. But as far as getting users, I know
gtk/python does fine on other platforms.

If you do developing a python library for interacting with OCAL, then I
will happily take it and make a plugin into my system. You guys can make
whatever cross platform specific tool and the library will be a nice
integration piece for any platform.
