[Clipart] Remixes working properly?

Hi all

Is the Submit a Clip Art Remix (from the main submission
page<http://openclipart.org/media/submit>)
working properly? I'm unable to find anything using the search button.

Also, why are authors unable to remix or link to a remix of their own? I
would have thought you should be able to remix anybody...including your own.
