Regarding copyright and PD, if one could copyright something in the  
public domain legally, do you really think anything of worth would  
remain in PD?  Think of all the books and movies in PD.  Surely some  
company would take the rights to them if they could.  That clearly  
shows that it cannot happen or someone looking to make money would do  
it.  Follow the money.
