[Clipart] Thumbnails

Hello,

Well, as I said, I'm not a programmer myself, I just wanted to point out that "some" software available was able to do... almost what we want to do. Also, I'm not aware of the technical details of the "current plan".

Yes, it uses ImageMagick and NetPBIM and Gd as "toolkits" to render files (mime type). You can set a priority on these toolkits. If it was possible to use Inkscape as the primary toolkit, it would be wonderful :-)

I'm not sure I understand what you meant here (because of my sucking english...) but I think you mean: we want to display SVG full sized, not "PNG, then SVG"? Maybe it's possible to skip the "PNG original size" step and render the SVG directly?

Let's patch gallery2 (or an adapted one, or...) to get that! :-)
How hard would that be?

Well, all that is just suggestions of course... We need thumbnails... badly :-(
