Now a days you also might have this issue with property releases.  I understand that the Eiffel Tower's lighting is protected and so night images of the tower are not allowed without permission. There laws against photographing buildings in Mexico.   IMHO, we would need a full time copyright lawyer to keep all of the world's potential problems at bay in this area.  Since that isn't going to happen, I think we need to go with common sense and reasonable expectations and remove things on request.
