I think there are some interesting ideas presented here, but it's easy to bust & definitely not ready for prime time live on the site.  I like the idea of developing ocal redesigns & presenting them in this way, though.  I think there's too much to implement before 3.0 release to worry much about it at present, but it would be nice if we could try to target a revamp for a future release & fill out a blueprint, submit proposals, etc.
