Network authentication

Hi,
I'm prototyping an application which might use DBus over TCP for IPC,
and was planning on implementing a basic subnet authentication method.
As I understand it this would have to be an extension of the EXTERNAL
method, so DBusCredentials would need to be extended to support source
address (local socket or IP address) and then
handle_server_data_external_auth() edited to handle matching addresses.
Does this seem reasonable or is there a better solution?
Thanks,
Ross
