PATCH: trailing nul bytes in abstract socket names

Here is a patch for this TODO item:
- figure out what the deal is with trailing nul bytes in
abstract socket names

Wasn't sure if this was what was wanted but it seemed to match up from
the e-mails. I did a make check and it passes (sans some of the unique
name tests but that is a different issue).
Can someone verify this is what the TODO wanted and that I didn't miss
anything. Thanks.
