[bug] Hald crashes with madwifi driver

This is a known issue. As of yet, there is no progress in finding the
solution. Joe believes it has everything to do with sysfs timing, I
believe. I haven't seen enough to agree with certainty. But, running
through the startup in gdb does produce wacky results.
