Solaris 8 provides zlib (it's already set correctly in sun.cf)
If GNOME is installed, then Solaris 8 & later also have FreeType
2.1.2, with FreeType 2.1.4 coming soon in Solaris 9 and later.
Unfortunately I don't know a good way to define this (and it's
admittedly one of the strengths autoconf has over Imake).
