[SCIM] how to activate SCIM in solaris 2.6 ( locale: en_US.UTF-8 ) ?

I don't know what's the matter. Could you please try scim's gtk2 
immodule first? Using the following command to start a gtk2 app with 
scim immodule:

$ scim -f socket -c simple -ns socket -d
$ GTK_IM_MODULE=scim gedit
