[stsf] Merging current XORG-RELEASE-1-STSF into Xorg trunk ?

I imagine there will be quite a few from other Xorg participants, and even
from our side I'm not sure it's quite ready for that.

I believe something as major as STSF would need discussion in the Xorg
Architecture group before merging into the main branch.
