[Uim] uim-helper-applet: what does the 'R' button/menu do?

Hi,

gabor, Matthew, sorry for confusion.

The menu does not work correctly due to bug.
'R' in the button means romaji, romaji input maps alphabet sequence
to hiragana or katakana.
On the other hand, kana mode is used with Japanese keyboard.
Hiragana character is printed on top of Japanese keyboard with ordinary
ASCII Characteres. User can type hiragana with a stroke.
However, most of uim developers use romaji mode and often test and fix
bugs in kana mode.

Anyway, thank you for using uim and Japanese.
