[Uim] Uim Problems

Hi, I've just installed Uim in my Ubuntu Breezy (gnome)
I have some problems that I want to solve!
When I push "Pad" and "Hand" botton, They don't start!I've installed
uim, uim-anty, uim-applet-gnome, uim-common, uim-fep, uim-gtk2.0,
uim-m17nlib, uim-skk, uim-utils, uim-xim 0.4.7
But uim works, without that two functions.
I'm reading that there is a new uim version.How I can install the newer
version on my Ubuntu?
Please help me because the input method is necessary for my work!
