I have prepared a patch for the menu-spec to include all kinds of layout hints
based on previous discussion.
I'm not sure if I have the terminology right... do tags have "parameters" ? Or
are those things called different?
The original proposal used "<Order>" elements, I have changed that to
<Layout>.
The original proposal suggested to use a "showInline" bool in the .directory
file of the menu, I think it is more practical to define whether to inline or
not as part of the layout definition.
Heinrich suggested NotShowIfEmpty and ShowIfEmpty and I have added those
in the form of a show_empty parameter for the Layout menu.
My docbook code probably sucks layout wise. If anyone has suggestions for
improvement I would appreciate that.
Awaiting your feedback.
Cheers,
Waldo
