[Xorg] Tinderbox - error in 'make clean'

alanc-Solarisx86 is showing errors in the make clean process:

make -f xmakefile  BOOTSTRAPSUBDIRS= clean
...
rm -f *.CKP *.ln *.BAK *.bak *.o core errs ,* *~ *.a .emacs_* tags TAGS
make.log MakeOut   "#"*
cleaning in lib/GL/glx...
make: Fatal error in reader: Makefile, line 16: Unexpected end of line
seen
Current working directory /export/home/tinderu/XMonolithic/xc/lib/GL/glx
*** Error code 1

The other build machines haven't exhibited this behavior but it's
occurred several times on the alanc machine.  This started happening at
around 5am PST (5 hrs ago) today.
