Kdrive tree/status

Hi, everyone. 

	I've been trying for a while now to build 
my own kdrive X server, and after i checked out
xc from freedesktop CVS, i found a textfile telling me:

Kdrive has been removed from this tree as it was outdated.
Builds of kdrive are no longer supported in the monolithic
tree. Please turn to
    http://www.freedesktop.org/Software/xserver
for more information where to get the sources.

However this page seems not to exist? I've been 
googling for a while now and i'm unable to get any
recent information on kdrive. Is the project abandoned?
If so, will it ever be supplanted by another similar project?
