For that, the quickest way would be to run

$ DISPLAY=:1 gnome-session

Or you can use the command export DISPLAY=:1 (That's in Bash, use setenv
DISPLAY :1 in tcsh) to force all subsequent commands from that same
terminal to go to the other X server if needed.
