xorg cvs server segfaults with indirect rendering

With yesterday's CVS snapshots of drm, Mesa and xc,
I don't get the blank screen any more.  Direct rendering
doesn't get enabled at all (see log below).

I've checked out DRM from three weeks ago and built it,
but I can't reboot yet.
