DRM problem with X-terminal

Hi,

Is it possible to use DRM in a thinclient configuration? If so, what am
I missing?

I have a 64-bit Debian server (hostname server) with xdm and the
necessary xclients. Then I have a 32-bit host (hostname terminal) with
Xorg 6.8.2.

In the server I have "terminal" in the Xaccess-file and I start Xorg in
the terminal with X -query server.

I have the
Section "DRI"
  Mode 0666
EndSection
in the xorg.conf in the terminal.

X in the terminal seems to be working fine, except e.g. glxinfo tells
me that direct rendering is not working. According to the Xorg.0.log in
the terminal, DRM is working.
