Setting a different X key map

Hi! 

How to set a different X key map for each user? 

I have added "setxkbmap [Xkeymap]" in several files -- .XModMap , .Xclients 
, .xmodmaprc , .Xmodmap -- but no works. 

I am using GDM as graphical login but .xsession no works too. 

I just to find -- userxkbmap="$HOME/.Xkbmap" -- in '/etc/X11/gdm/Xsession' 
file. I'm supposed that this is the best solution. But, it would be correct 
for whatever graphical login?
